Wednesday...

Wow, it's only Wednesday! This week haws been insane so far! Monday was a teacher workday so JP didn't have school. I got spunky and painted the hallway on the upper level and started on the stair well. Erich is going to have to finish because I just can't reach and getting on a ladder with 3 kids around doesn't sound too safe for me! Yesterday was a CRAZY day! I babysat a friends son for part of the day. He is Will's age and such a sweetie! The boys had lots of fun together! JP bailed on us and went to a friends house before school but Ben did a great job entertaining the babies! Does that suprise anyone? Ben is a little comedian! After Gabe left and Ben was at school, and Will was napping I made quick sympathy card for a friend of Erich's. I used Embrace Life, Heartfelt Thanks, irridecent ice embossing powder, sponges for the pink edges, and some pretty brown ribbon that I had a few scraps of! I think it turned out really nice.

I got to talk to Buhl for a little bit yesterday! She is freezing her "honkeybahooky" (that means butt in Ben speak!) off in Minnesota. Send her some warm thoughts! Check out her blog when you have a free minute! You'll enjoy it!

Today I think I might take the little boys shopping while JP is at school. I'm looking for some "accents" for the house and a dress for me! Random, huh? We'll probably head to TJ Maxx in Fairfax and hit Harris Teeter for something for dinner! If I feed my children pizza or popcorn shrimp/chicken again, I think they might revolt!

Speaking of my kids...they are calling for a "toodle strudle" (toaster strudel in Ben speak!). I'll end with the card that I made for our team meeting swap!

A Little Color!

I was feeling a little crazy last week so I brought on the COLOR! These were two cards that I made just for fun. The first one was inspired by the Pumpkin Pie ribbon! I bought the ribbon for my Halloween Projects and hadn't used it since. I decided it was time to break it out and play! The rest just followed! It uses the Enjoy Every Moment stamp set.



This card was made from scraps that I had laying around. Since getting my awesome new paper storage unit, my cardstock is much more organized! I have two drawers for my scraps and I actually USE them now instead of hoarding them! This card uses the Be Happy stamp set.



Yesterday Annie and I went to a Stampin' UP! training meeting and we got lots of great ideas! I'll be using them in my February workshops! I am also having an Emergency Birthday Card Kit class at the end of February! I'll post details soon!

Ben Time!!

Ben is skippin' school today! I think it is totally ridiculous that JP had school today so in protest, Ben stayed home! Yes, I was looking forward to the big boys being at school and Will taking a long nap so that I could clean up from last nights Pampered Chef Party and then stamp but to be honest, it was SO much more fun hanging out in the snow with my Boo! Stamp Club Project

Here is one of the cards that we made yesterday at Stamp Club. I'll take pictures of the other two later today and upload them!

I was going to use this card for one of our projects but Erich told me that it was ugly! What do you think? Be honest!

I also made this box for yesterday's hostess but I totally forgot to give it to her! She'll get it when the order comes in!

Things I've Been Working On....

2008 is in full swing! The boys are back at school and we are starting to get back into a little bit of a routine!

I really am trying to be more organized this year! This goal started with the selling of my retired Stampin' UP! set! I've sold quite a few of them but I still have many sets left! Check the post from the first of January to see what I'm selling! Please contact me if you would like any of them!

I've also started cleaning out my craft room and getting that at least a little bit organized! I really need a place to store my paper! I thought I had the perfect solution on Craiglist but after accepting my offer, the seller hasn't gotten back to me. Hopefully he/she will soon! If not, I've got to come up with plan B!

I made a few cards last week...The first was for my neighbor, Emily! She turned 12!

I also made a super cute brown and pink card for my neice Claire but I forgot to take a picture before I gave it to her! Claire turned one yesterday but we celebrated with a party in Mechanicsville on Saturday! Here are a few pictures from the party....

The rest of the projects that I have worked on this week are for my upcoming Stamp Club meeting on Sunday! I'll post those after we meet! I don't want to ruin the suprise for the members! If YOU would like to join a stamp/scrapbook club, let me know! I have a few openings!!

Ok, I'm a dork! But seriously...if YOUR team had Tic Tacs in their colors, wouldn't you feel compelled to do something crafty with them???

This is made with SU Chocolate Chip CS and some scraps of "gold". I used a very old SU set for the footballs and then just punched out a circle to show the Tic Tacs (Cherry Passion flavored, if you care!).

Speaking of the Redskins, we had a little excitement while watching them WIN last Sunday!

...this was a result of Game Day abuse from JP. No, he wasn't tackled or punched! JP threw a Star Wars Light Saber at him. It was pretty dramatic! Just ask the Huse Girls!

And....speaking of the Huse Girls....we welcomed Hailey Grace Huse on December 31st! She was sweet enough to wait on her arrival so that Daddy Dennis could go to the Redskins game with Erich and Michael but still arrived just in time for this years tax deduction! Hailey is a beautiful baby and is already VERY loved by us all!
